photoblog image No Sun

No Sun

I mentioned yesterday that I had been frustrated by the weather. I went to Sandsend for a sunrise but it was pants (wet pants with lots of rain) so this image was taken from that location earlier in the year at sun rise.

All the best Mal

Well, regardless of when it was taken, it's still a beautiful scene. Great colors.
This is one of those pictures that should be framed and proudly displayed at home. Great shot and pp.

it's never really crossed my mind that i could do a long exposure at any time other than full night. duh, why not? this is EXCELLENT! i just love the blues and the glassiness attribute that the water takes on. beautiful, mal.
Mal: Funny you mention that Alex, I had the exact same reaction when I got some ND filters. All the best Mal
your series with long exposure is very nice Mal, really really nice!! On this one the pink and blue are matching perfectly.

This really stood out as a thumbnail and does not disappoint when opened.

Cracking shot mal: balance, colour, composition, timing, exposure. Everything. A very restful shot. Print it frame it, show it off.
Mal: Thank you Colin, I appreciate those comments. Mal

Beautiful Shot!
Hey, this looks like one of Jide's. I love the colours in this one and that sky is so beautiful. the water also seems so still - i'm sure the sky had let up when you took this pic. It just looks so serene (also looks very lonely) can't imagine how this picture would have turned out if it were taken on a sunny day. Bottom line- brilliant effort.

I'm just going to post this to you privately as I don't want to be seen as overly critical. There are a couple of intrusions on the horizon on the right that would benefit from being cloned out.
I must dig out the ND filters, this is a very serene shot. To be picky I think I would have cropped off the bit on the right!
