The Shadow Buoy

Thank you for all the comments yesterday I very much appreciate them all!

This is not the image that I had intended to post but I guess that any one who has seen my work recently will know that I tend to stick to a theme. So yesterdays post was from Scarborough beech so I'm going to narrow all of this weeks posts down to Scarborough and beech.

All of this weeks images were taken 3 weeks ago and I was going to post this one fairly straight and in colour but I have been playing around with PS so much recently (especially layers and curves) and this is the latest stuff that I have come up with. I have only just last evening re-processed this one, so let me know what you think

PS work : 3 selected curve adjustment layers, Selective burning, USM,

All the best Mal

Mal: smile Is that a good thing or a bad thing Mr S wink Mal
Hey Mal...welcome back. I love this shot and its sweet stunning tones but at the same time I missing some kind of depth. Did you crop the skies? I think more skies would have enhanced depth. Overall I would say 9/10.
Nice B&W. Well framed.
lovely tone and frame Mal. nice!
Another fine image, mal!

hmmm, chromasia?...actually i think the composition is far better (and less posed) than even what even david nightingale would post (thats me committing interent suicide right there)....8.25/10
Mal: Hee hee Master, you're the lord of the Dark internet, you can say what you like!
Nice shot Mal. I like the mood.
Cracker, I like the technical bit, three adjustment layers, thats incredible. ;-) Wicked image.
Extremely well done Mal, this will be a great series. Regards, Neil.

Again i think it is a Mal shot. very nicely done. I don't think any photographer has a monopoly of shots of objects on a beach though. My eye (blame it) would liked to have seen some more definition to the white waves.
like the other one with this same thing better for some reason, maybe cuz of the perspective in that shot...
