M is for?

Thank you for all the comments yesterday. Just to remind everyone that I love funny/sarcastic comments also!

Later in the evening I saw a group of young lads throwing some signs and letters around the beach, just where they came from I have no idea but one ended up here. I wish that I had taken a little more care over a number of issues with this image (I was absolutely freezing at the time) but it appealed to me anyway, in particular the glow from the street lighting on the sand. The fact that "M" stands stands for Mal had nothing to do with it!!!

Update : M stands for Mia! unless you have any better idea's!!

All the best. Mal

haha, now I got competition? maybe its time to hold up my front by looking up the dictionary for words starting with M...

ps. just remembered the movie Dial M for Murder. But Mia's still cooler, eh tongue will be back later to see who dare challengeth my name.
hey mal,

really cool capture. i love the angle, and how you framed the shot through a worm's eye view. i also really like the way the "m" is positioned to the left of the frame, which allows the background lights to really flow in. "m" stands for much needed weekend!

No wonder you're cold Mal. Get off the beach! i think the colour cast is nice. Did the unknown "group of lads" also manage to get an A and a L.
Mal: No, they were incompetent! Mal

Was this before or after you nicked one of their trainers?

M - Mug shot - yours to be appearing soon at beaches in the north east

Man seen stealing seemingly worthless items and dumping on local beaches
Help us catch him before you find you have only one shoe and your shopping's missing!
Mal: It took me ages to wrestle that trolley off that old biddy, she was strong! And that Chav had it coming to him anyway wink Mal x

I originally was going to say M was for 'Mighty nice job of making the sand smooth around the M' but now it has to be Mals friends give me sore ribs from laughing.

great shot good color and light
Very nice composition and framing.
The texture of the sand is just beautiful, you could almost touch it. M stands for Monkey Business, which is probably what you were up to. Great shot Mal. Enjoy the course this weekend, or have you been on that?

M is for Magnificent Mal Marauding Man on a Mission. This so Blackpool, ain't seaside resorts great places for images? I really like this series Mal. I expect you to weave the same magic with a series on Blackpool when you come over.

i think alistair is right about the 'm' but it could just be 'malwalker'....7.5/10
Hiya. Mal is the Afrikaans word for crazy/mad, which is bloody well what you must be, wandering around a beach, freezing your nuts off looking for litter!!!! At least we know why there is no camera shake - you were frozen stiff!! Just for being so foolish/brave, I have decided you have taken a very nice pic. Seriously, Mal, this is an unusual and well thought out shot, lovely colours, nice composition. regards, Neil.
i love this Mal. its part of some indy road movie I'd love to catch the rest of..
dans "M" tant de "N"! une musicalité étonnante dans cette photo
M is for Mal!

Nice shot.
Yes the street lights on the sand are great as is the way the letter is sitting. THe background is a little distracting to me.
