Nano

All my images except 2 are right up to date and show the sort of stuff that I like to shoot now however, for the next series I'm archive raiding from 2 previous visits to Japan with Farrah.

4 very dear friends are the band Farrah Jez, Michelle, Andy & Mike. This image was at the Nano Mugen Fes in Yokohama, a sell out 10,000 crowd. The band tolerate me running around grabbing shots and Michelle has christened me "The Rat", as I'm scurrying around the stage.

All things being well, Farrah will be returning to Japan in January to promote the new album, so I will be going to. Check out the bands site bellow, where you can see a clip of the soon to be released single.

The following link is a You Tube clip of the festival that these shots were taken from which went out on tv in Japan.

A very big thank you to Nobu & Ikumi (special friends) All the best Mal

Great shot Mal. Love the perspective. I'm with Nicola. I have stage fright now. Do you have to wear band aprroved streetwear to be band photographer. These are some interesting archives mal. what else you got in there.
Mal: Funny you mention that Neal, I was given a red bib to wear with photographer on it, which made me stand out like a sore thumb, so I dumped it. Mal

I hope see you in Feb 07!

Lovely Mal..I thought you were a drummer for a second hand just popped up to take a quick shot..hehe
Mal: I have no sence of timing at all Yanik, that would be a major disaster if I were drumming. Mal

Very interesting perspective you've got here. Nice to see the crowd for a change. smile
Bloody hell Mal, won't you give me something to criticise and moan about!!!! Super, super shot. You make me very envious of: a)your annoyingly vast talent and b) that you get to visit places I would love to go to!! Regards, Neil.
Mal: A few years ago I had 3 trips to SA and the worst pictures I have ever taken were in the Drakensburg mountains but they were taken with a film camera, I may get some of the negs scanned and let you have a laugh. Mal

Lucky you to be allowed on stage at a concert as big as this. And even more lucky to tour with them in Japan. Cool shot, by the way. I like the placement of everything within the frame.
Not really my thing but always envious of anyone who can wangle a good photo opportunity. Great pic.

Must be amazing to be able to catch all these great shots from these angles, up close and personal. It's exciting, even for those who view your images.
