great repeating pattern and nice color.

Have a great weekend!
hey mal,

i love the angles and the perspective of this shot. the repetative pattern of the steps almost proves to be an optical illusion....your eyes kind of get lost if you look at it long enough. the light actually makes the stairs look as though they were sketched, or even perhaps illustrated. really great capture.

Sorry, can't think of any "witty" comments - I'm veery bad at that... But anyway, I certainly like the abstract nature of the picture - the lines certainly give it dynamic and guide you through the picture. And just perfect light and colors!
Nice one Mal, well spotted and perfectly executed as usual.
The stairway to heaven no doubt!

I think I might have cropped off the rails and bright spots at the top!
Very very nice effect here : Bravo !

Robin is thinking outside the square but i have to agree with him on the colour blast. I would be tempted to crop but then you would just tell me that i am speaking crop so i won't.
Mal: Hey Cropper, you say what ever you want here!

Far stronger than tomorrow's...feels weird writing in future tense!

The lines lead in a very complimentary way from one axis of thirds, the kink in the steps, to another, the gap in the railings.
Mal: Simon see's into tomorrow! Are you a palm reader? wink Mal
I wish I'd seen this one before I commented on the next day's one (yonks ago now). This is the second of your archive shots I've come back to comment on, picked out from a strong thumbnail and not disappointing (as some are) when opened up.

Atracted by: terracotta colours; light and dark sweep; diagonals; juxtaposition of these; absence of people; abstract nature.

Dislikes: half a black dot on the upper right edge. I want it all.
