photoblog image Shinjuku south

Shinjuku south

Thank you for all who commented on yesterdays image, it was not a political statement, it was just some fun. I shall be renaming the image as soon as I have worked out who was named the most.

This image was taken near Shinjuku station, the main south route.

All the best Mal

PS Neal gave me a tip to improve this image.

I'm gonna wait for Neals comment, i think all you need to do is brighten up the girder a bit but what do I know. smile
Mal: He said, delete it Mal, it's crap!!!

I think i said whatever you do don't mix chlorine and brake fluid. Either that or can i have some of your rubbish photos so i can have something to post which is better than what i normally upload.

Johnny the hint was just about a way to recover some highlights by using a multiply layer and then applying the image in photoshop.

This is another superb shot Mal and just looks better a second time.
Mal: With a little help from my friends, as the song goes! wink Mal
Superb! Again it has something eerie about it. Great feeling of speed.

I like how the various structures partition the shot, almost framing the speeding train. Great color management too!

Again, it's really impressive. The composition is spot on, the lines and colours are all complimentary and you've captured the motion to perfection...

Who took it? wink ...this is the danger of you posting your comment first tongue
Mal: Cheeky monkey! wink Mal

Now nev can see how well his pictures would look if he heeded his own advice.

Excellent blog - now let me go check what Neal has done
Mal: He only copies anyway Louis! wink Mal
Yes Mal(adjusted). At least those Japanese trains move quicker than British rail, you would never have got so much motion blur if you had taken this pic in UK!!! Super shot mate and very well processed. Great work. Regards, Neil.
Mal: I would require an exposure of 20 mins to get this much blur in the UK! wink Mal
Lovely composition Mal. smile

Very nice shot, Mal. Really like the colors and composition.
a lovely shot Mal.

lovely colours, the green of the bridge, the dark blue sky, the pale blue structure and the blue train. the touch of golds and yelow.

really nice.
Nice one senior Mal ! is this Shinjuku station next to the main south route? you turn left and right and left and right you 're right there on your left? is this the one?
Mal: Just you wait until tomorrow, my very dear friend!!! Hee hee. Mal
i quite like it...but that structure jutting out on the left is just a bit distracting...
Mal: You are correct Master, I did consider cropping but it was a judgement call at the time! Mal
technically perfect according to me.what about keeping a bigger part of orange light in left bottom part of the frame ?
flag'
Mal: Thank you Flag, I took some shots of the orange bit but had loads of problems with the lights from passing vehicles! They did not turn out very well. Mal
What was the tip? Or shall we have another little competition to guess what it was? I reckon he told you to leave the train in....
Amusing times yesterday on your post, I pissed myself quite a few times. Suby didn't half come in for some stick yesterday, I think he felt a bit singled out.
Are you actually in the country (UK) at the moment or are these archive shots you keeping entertaining us all with? Personally, I'm totally confused, most of the time it's a struggle to remember what country I'M in.
Peace bro.
Mal: It was regarding recovering lost highlights and was a great tip. In the Uk Andrew but staying away in Burnley at the moment. All the best. Mal

Master of Light at work again. smile
Mal: I take the pen torch everywhere Chris! wink Mal
Nice technical scene - and the movement is really nicely captures. Exposure is spot on, compliments! Maybe cropping/deleting the slightly distracting streetlight in the upper left?
Mal: You are right Thomas, I regret posting it the way I did now for that very reason! All the best. Mal
