Love the shot Mal, the purplish colour gives a sci-fi movie feel... so does this mean we're getting more of the Millenium Bridge's shots? tongue
Mal: I promise, no more millenium bridge shots Mia. All the best. Mal
Love the atmosphere and the hazy effect - the silhouette of a man and his dog on a journey to a strange town (very twilight zone-ish). Their shadows make the picture even more eerie. I can imagine this picture on the cover of a Stephen King novel. Nice work.
Mal: Hope you enjoy that new toy Mo! But remember what makes your photography good. Mal

I'm happy to inform you that I've got to work on the image size issue. You're in for a real surprise.

Still waiting for your reply on my last email. Also wanted to ask you if you'd be interested in exhibiting some of you work at an exhibition organised by a friend? He's asked me to nominate a Non-nigerian photographer that I rate with strong work, I'm putting your forward. You interested? I'll send you more details if you are.

Everything is perfectly placed; the lines, the shadows. Shooting into the sun. Masterful.
Mal: Thank you Jose. Mal
Light, tones, shadows, all spot on. I agree with Morenike: stranger in a strange land (+ dog) type feel to this one!
Mal: Thank you Dave. All the best. MAL

Beautiful designed bridge. Wonderful light and frame!
Mal: Thank you Sidney. Mal
i really like the mood of this shot. it feels like a brisk early morning walk.
Mal: Thank you Genevieve, I tried to promote that feeling of early morning into the image. Mal
Nice angle, high horizon line and cuurve of the bridge. How did you achieve the steel blue hue. Was this the color and lens, Photoshop...?
Mal: Hi John. The blue is photoshop and the exact opposite curve movement for sepia. pull red, pull green, push blue. Mal

Did you meet a long time ago ? smile

There a strange atmosphere here... loneliness in big cities.
Mal: Thank you Florence. A very very very long time ago! I was trying to portray a feeling of lonelyness. Mal
Love the angles here of the bridge and shadows. Silhouettes of a people always work well in these shots.
Mal: Thank you Daniel. Mal

This is such a serene, quiet capture, Mal, of one's meditative "chore" of the day--taking the dog for a walk. So perfectly surreal.
Mal: Thank you Ginnie, I was trying to portray a slightly lonely feeling. Mal
beautiful beautiful, simply beautiful mal
Mal: Thank you Atunbi. Mal
what a beautiful light and B&W image.
Mal: Thank you Chantal. Mal
Mal, you had a strong backlighting here that I see that you have solved very satisfactorily.
Mal: Thank you Jose. Mal

Great stuff Mal... I'd like a copy of this one please. It's recognisably York, but only if you know York and the bridge.
Mal: Electronic or print? I have better than this though! Mal x

great work here mal. Love the tones. The silhouetted trees mid frame make it for me. this is an after post comment, couldn't read the spam codes first time round so just hit submit. second time round the spam codes started with rc and ended with unt.
Mal: Oh the fun that could be had through spam code!
beautiful idea Mal, very nice B&W.
Mal: Thank you Nicola. Mal

Mal, wow, this is fantastic and the low-contrast of it gives the image great range and a mystic effect. Nice work! I've seen many images of this bridge but never one like this -- it's a very different take on it.
Mal: Thank you Iain. Mal
refreshing to see a non long-exp...lovely toning and great capture in all...this may sound stupid but i find the sun's brightness here a bit distracting...
Mal: Well, you know what I do Master! I just do it badly. oldistilwivacold

Gorgeous atmosphere in this shot Mal, and fabulous detail as always
I like the mysterious mood that this photo seems to have. Probably because of the haziness

Great shot Mal. I love a walk on a morning like that - makes you feel good to be alive. The shaddows, and wires of the bridge really make this shot.
Really like this one

Sounds a bit of a Shambles...(not sure if that qualifies as a Dad joke). I like bridge images and this is so sharp from fore to background. Lovely light nicely controlled considering the shooting into the sun aspect.
WOW Mal!
Looks very similar to the Millenium Bridge of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Wonderful, you are fast becoming one of my favourite bloggers partly because you vary your shots so well. Keep it up.

Lovely composition, you've avoided a central positioning of the walker and it really works...and as for the tones...sublime.

I guess I had a really good holiday, 4 shots down and no criticisms!
