photoblog image Keep on Runnin

Keep on Runnin

Untill I get the time to get the vacation snaps in order, I'm going to post a couple of York images that I took just before I left. This is the Millenium bridge, just after dawn, it reminded me of Sweetleaf on her morning run.

All the best. Mal

It's the type of shot that makes running look fun easy and tranquil. Lovely composition and I love how it draws you in

another great shot, mal...i like the lighting, with the slight fading in the corners. you always seem to get the right perspective when you're snapping anything architectural, well done.

Great light as always, Mal! You were on vacation since sometime in January? I want your job smile
Hey Mal, you should begin to frame your pictures and market them. You're just so talented. I like the composition and processing of this picture.

Beautiful shot- though I think I'd have found it even more dynamic if she'd been running towards the camera and away from the light. All the leading lines going to the sun works except for the fact that all the interesting textures are elsewhere in the shot, and if the runner had been coming towards us then we'd get the leading lines, but also a back and forth motion between the detail rich foreground and the sunlight's magnificence.

Excellent use of the light and shadows of the early morning. Is that natural or pp'ed vignette?
Nice pp. I like this blueish light. Early in the morning, I guess !
There is a control you could use in Photoshop for removing vignettes- the pixelpixie has to use it constantly grin Only joking, Mal, This is another cracker. Elgol has printed up beautifully- will send you a copy!

Well now smarty pants Malcolm Smart, what have you been and done here? You swan off on holidays to the far east for weeks on end, come back as if you haven't been away, post the biggest load of old codswallop and everyone checks it all out, shame on you!!!!smilesmilesmile Ha,ha, hee, hee,Mister Smart got conned by me!!

I have to say mal, seriously now, that this is a very good image, the early morning light combined with the mist is great, as is the composition of the photograph. A friendly word of warning for you, just passed on to me by the Chief Constable: "We are watching you, this chasing after female joggers is seriously deviant and will end up with your arrest, should you choose not to desist." His words, not mine mate. Super piece of photography Mal, very well done. Many regards, Neil.
This is brilliant, would make a good sports ad

If she keeps on running like that, she'll find the chap with his dog. smile
lovely soft B&W Mal...
Keep on cyclin!
Just in case that David Wilson comes back, vignetting is cool! And it works perfectly in this shot - I just need your subtlety! Beaker St is right, it really draws you in. This is my kind of running - just looking!

Mal, a lot of pleasing comments here, so I'm not going to bother.
Did the jogger know you were following her? Just teasing mate, this a very nice bridge to run over. As always Mal, you are too blooming good! grin

What more is there to say other than to concur with the plaudits. The vignette is an essential element and works well with the point of focus.

You have never explained why you are up so early or are you on your way home?

Great shot. Strong leading lines which are echoed in a somewhat drunken ghostly way by all the bicycle tracks!
Very hard to believe that I see this on a regular basis! Very creative Mal. When I get back to the UK, WE'RE MEETING UP!!!
