1/15s, F2.8 and ISO 1600, I guess there was really few light there smile
Very well captured, I can feel his energy, and the lines drawn by the drumsticks are awesome.
Mal: well observed Robs, he is always at the back of the stage with very little light, thanx. mal

there is something about drummers....i always find it fascinating to watch them....maybe because they are stuck to one place, they have loads of energy!! (and it makes them easy to observe....)

Like I said - I like the drummers and this one has a fitting expression too, as if he is really enjoying the roll.

When I opened the picture, I first thought it was you after you have grown some camouflage on your long trip. smile

Another great drummer shot I have seen on shutter some time ago, maybe you will appraciate it
Mal: thank you for that link Louis, I had not seen the image. all the best. mal
Good timing Mal.
Mal: Thank you Chris. mal
This is more like real photography - I mean gritty grain! grin
Mal: Hmmm! interesting! This image leans more toward my natural style, glad you like the dirty/gritty side of life. mal

I am definitely feeling the rock n roll of this shot. This type of shot one sees in gallaries. Very nicely done

Mal: Thank you Suby, lovely comment. all the best. mal

His excitement and "craziness" tongue vibrates from this shot. Excellent PP'ing too, gives it the feel of the Beatles era (I think?)
Mal: that is exactly the feel I was trying to generate! Thank you Mia. mal

Love the film like quality to this one Mal. the discrete line of mike's left stick and water bottle in the background. great low light shot and nice lens.
Mal: I'm not sure how I always get a mike growing out of mikes ear though? mal

Mal: Thank you Master, keep on rockin! malwalker
Rock on' dude!!!
Mal: Thanks Jide, hope all is well with you. mal
Pushing the technology here Mal, but isn't the result great, gritty and atmospheric, what more could you want.
Mal: Your right Digi, there were a few liberties taken with the image. mal
I really understand him....;-)
Mal: Hee hee, fantastic comment from my crazy Italian friend! lol mal
