Vaseline? Hmmmm, interesting.... tongue

Mal you have defined what art is very well: personality, personal, and the person. You have enscapulated all 3 very clearly here, and the previous ones too.

Art is about the love for human nature, it should be, this is cool bananas! A+

If there was a "Idol" reality show for photographers, you would be in the top 5! I would have been rejected at the auditions lol....

Good stuff, I salute you! :p

This is really weird, Mal, but every pic I see from you lately reminds me of a song that I can't get out of my head. This time it's that great hymn, "Lead on, oh King Eternal!" The light is not only at the end of the tunnel but IN the tunnel as well. What a passage/journey!

I guess we all can use our imagination, right? smile

So it's an escalator! I really like the line of light leading up the image, it really defines the shot. Nice one. Right, off to get some vaseline...
Is this the KY look Mal wink
such a history buff mal! i like how you see through your images. very creative and i am loving those black boots really adds to the image. what do you use to remove the vaseline from your lense after, god knows how messy that stuff can be wink
Very strong predatory feel to this one Mal - it's the colours and tunnel like vision grin Lovely image.

Well worth getting smeared up with Vaseline for.
Yet another gem, love the style...
You really are into this. Works beautifully. I would never have thought to use vaseline!!
Mal, what can I say, but another fantastic shot. Excellent pp work + vaseline; you are the pro.
Es un efecto diferente que hace crear una composición abstracta muy agradable de mirar. No entiendo la relación con el título ¿? smile

" filter + warm up filter - vaseline - camera on hand rail of the tate modern gallery escalators." With all that lot in front of the sensor it's no wonder you had trouble getting the details in focus! tongue

Joking apart, I just looked up the Visigoths, didn't really know much about them, and I see they were responsible for a translation of the Bible, which links nicely with this ethereal 'stairway' picture.

I'm guessing this was an escalator. And another which would make a great CD cover. Another sublime shot Mal. You just keep pulling truely amazing shots out of the bag...

"...and the one you have all been waiting for! The 2007 award for most original use of vaseline before the 9:00pm watershed goes to... Mal!!"
A stunning shot.
I feel like shouting, stay away from the light, don't go into the light... smile The person in the picture appers to be staggering into the light. Great effect

Very nice effect, on the verge of abstract
an artist in the place of the artists. superb.
I really like the effects you are using on some of your images. For my mind, they create an ethereal world of fantasy. I wish I could step into them and experience the inspiring moods and feelings which they generate. If images can have such an effect, then they are certainly very successful works. I'm away interstate at present with limited internet access but I gotta keep a check on your blog to see more of these.
I really like this kind on photograph ! Bravo.
