Interesting tones in this. It looks really dark, and the mood is pretty spooky, but there's plenty of almost-white space, too. Nice job.
I saw the thumb nail and thought I'll wait. Mal this is wonderful and it would add volumes to my Ripper series if I knew how to do this. I doff my hat to you bro !

lovely shot Mal, well done.
Superb! J

Interesting art!
i like the graininess and blur of this image.
Interesting image, Mal - have you used a bit of zooming during the exposure on this to create the effect?
Beautiful silhouette in this misty corridor. Malcolm, as usual, very intesresting effect.

You got me wondering who Helena is. Is she on her way to an appointment with the optometerist? smile

Great shot mal, it is like a mind's vision I would have to the word 'suspense' - referring to a timeless moment.

Hmmm. Looks like a classic dream that a psychology class is trying to interpret! Lots of symbolism here, Mal!
Lovely Mal - really interesting.
Interesting, a little "dark" but it appeals to to me. Great shot smile

Interesting effect and great ambiance, Mal! I like this kind of shot a lot!
There is such an air of mystery in some of your photographs, Mal. I find my mind drifts off and I am inventing all sorts of scenarios! (:o)
Superb effect and ambiance... great work for this shot !

I don't ever see myself creating anything like this, but I do enjoy looking at it. Mysterious and suggestive and wonderful in black and white.

I always think of psychiatric units when I see this kind of shot.

The bright bar above is very slightly competing with the leading line into the corridor and the subject at the end. Just something that came to mind.

Cool stuff though and way more inventive than I ever get.
Simple yet so. so effective, a wonderful mix of potential narratives fella, but then you know that!

Nice DOF!

Actually I'll go along with what Simon says. Strangely enough I've got a shot almost exactly like this except that mine is still in my head - I'm still looking for a corridor and victim, er, I mean model.
Dramatic. For some reason I can't explain, this image makes me think of the works of Neil Gaiman.

I saw this yesterday, but had to run out on an errand before I could leave a comment. The caption is wonderful. It makes me ask if the viewer is Helen, or if she is the person standing in the lit doorway. Either way, there is a story behind it. I love this shot, Mal. Nicely done
Having worked in a psychiatric unit, (like beakerST's comment) this was my first thought. Interesting shot

First thought was definitely, 'This would make a good book cover for a mystery'
how and where you manage to come up with these beauties is always amazing!
Almost supernatural. Nice work. All the best, Dave
ghostly!!! Great
Very artistic shot Mal

The tiny [maybe 5deg] left rotation of this image seems to be what turns it from a really nice study in blur and light usage into a trigger for confusion and uncertainty in the mind of the beholder.

The result is powerful, but disturbing, Mal.
Man, this is one cool image!
Interesting shot... the motion gives it life
