That is a very politically incorrect title these days, Mal. Or did the title come from the comments made by the other people on the walkway. I can just imagine some of the mutterings and thoughts. Who is this mad git taking pics of himself.
Nice self portrait, love the lead in lines and I like seeing the reflections of others people on the side.
You've got a thing aboout escalators and moving walkways!

Love the idea. It gives the impression of passage through time and I don't know about retard but it's like seeing the boy in you!

Thanks for the invitation, mal...I am happy to accept.

Who's the dopy bugger who sat down on the stepless escalator and got his pants hooked in the grooves? I hope he wasn't "commando" this day, or he might have lost some important bits when he got to the end.

Nice to meet you, finally! Of course it had to be with your trademark perspective smile
Very cool original shot. The lines. The tones. Great use of natural light.
Not self-conscious then?
Nice to meet you Malcolm. Could have been great with a smile ! smile

Ah - the face that launched a thousand pics. Great shot Mal - stationary but still full of movement. I wonder if you'll start a trend of self p's. David.

Very nice self. I like the movement around you. Nice to see you. wink
Good stuff Mal, looks real good.
Yes, I do like this shot!
But you're in a very bad quality, and the camera is not centered, in my opinion it should be, or you should be sitting in rules of thirds.Thats the only negative thing I can tell you. smile
The rest is just lovely, the lines, the perspective and the people in the sides.

Allowed to make jokes. So the other times we had no permission. Tch what a retard.

You know you are real fast when you can run up ahead and take a picture of your image coming up smile So no retard at all.

Great shot and whackey idea - I bet you lifted a few english eyebrows and whispers like: "Bet you he is scottish"

Doesn't feel right to make jokes of the king on his throne. heehee . I love the central positioning of yourself. It gives it such a time warpie feel. Looks like a good game to play at an airport. This is wonderful work even if you are sitting down on the job. The silo of the person is what does it for me. great stuff mal
Helloooo! My friend! Ahahhh! The last time that remembered to you was hung of the ceiling... now in a mechanical incline! Nice to meet you again. Here the attention calls much to me which I imagine had to think the man that you have behind! LOLwink

bit too harsh on yourself...doubt you wouldve posted it if you didnt know it already but, excellent excellent selfie...
Aah, as I have, it would seem, correctly, called you from time to time: Mal(content). Monster of a pic Mr.Smart, so when you gonna get the Merc on the travellator!!???? Methinks the odd pint or two of John Smiths finest or Boddys, may well have influenced the posegrin Super work Malster. All the very best, Neil.

I've always wanted to try this but I get worried about someone maybe stepping on my camera. Plus the only moving walkways around here are at the airport and when you're about to travel futzing with your camera seems stupid and when you arrive you're tired from the flight so taking self portraits would be unflattering. Oh well, perhaps some day I'll get around to it.
Hello, Mal! Nice to give a face to a name.
This is a really good idea, photographically, but somehow I have the feeling that the other travellers might not have been particularly appreciative, on this occasion!
grin
Mal this is wonderful. I love the movement above and the perspective is great.

Great shot Mal. It's good to see a shot of you without having to turn my laptop upside down! The black and white pp is lovely too - great tones.

I wonder how many times you had to
a) walk back and forth & reset to get it to look ok
b) pick the camera up cos it fell over
c) run after some oik to get your camera back wink

Glad to see someone else that doesn't smile in photos - if I do I just look gormless... grin

Totally cool.... Pretty good for a retard! I wouldn't have smiled either - that would be conclusive evidence of insanity and then the men in white coats would decend on you like flies... trust me, I know! Cheers, H.

Nice photo!
Mal you look really miffed here...the ridges on those moving walkways play hell on your backside though.
Interesting shot, like the idea.

You look a bit fed-up for some reason.

The lines are all about this image and the way it just draws you and draws into the main subject you.
