Just gorgeous, Mal. Either you took a shot of a thermo nuclear explosion in the distance or you have captured the winter sun fantastically well.
Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch about hiding places...
Happy New Year smile
Spectacular shot, mal. A new year rising...Best to you in '08.

Last minutes of the beautiful world as we know it. This is a color still from the very end of "Dr. Strangelove", which Mr. Kubrick cut off for a never-to-be-known-to-us reason.
On other note, how in the world any of us could help you, mal? You're beyond help.

What a way to start the new day and year. It must have been a so-so party then. Or actually you staggered from the great party into this scene and as a good photographer always has the camera at the ready.

Early morning colours and residual fog patches make great shots.

Malorific.
and all the best to you Mal,beautifully composed.smile
Cool shot in every sense of the word!!
Have a healthy & prosperous year, Mal smile

This is an excellent shot. Its a tad blue for my taste and lacking in sharpness but the lighting makes it work
All the best to you too, Mal! A stunning shot to start the year. Thank YOU for all your help, encouragement and inspiration. (:o)

Great aerial perspective - like the pylons marching across the view (in a photographic kinda way)

Keep on with these in 2008 Mal, have a fine year.
This makes me think like they once did, that the world is flat and I could fall off the edge - if ever I got to it before I froze!

Wonderful landscape to start the year Mal.
Mal, you're a wizard. You can even make pylons look magical!
Very nice capture
j'aime beaucoup

I like this picture - the sun, the frost, the sharp foreground and the layers disappearing into the distance, even the pylons that appear to be floating in the air.
