Time, I think, is timeless...

The rocks will have a "use by" date printed on them, somewhere...

The carbon-based bacteria, on the left rock, won't last long...no need to bother with an anti-biotic to remove that temporary infestation...
Shutterchance as it should be - your presence is greatly missed.

The title give great anchorage to this contre-jour.

Good to see you back Mal - there is an atmosphere of quiet melancholy here. Love the shot.

Nice shot Mal.
Nice to see you back Mal. Superb shot!
Strong and moody, I like the light catching the underneath of the clouds, and welcome back.
Welcome back stranger! Fine silhouette

beautiful silhouette, mal.
On top Of Tryfan, in one of the Snowdon blocks of mountain there are two such pillars of rock standing up just like these. The gap between Adam and Eve (as they are called is about two metres). Brave souls like to step / jump from one to the other. 'Easy' I here you say ... but there is a several hundred foot drop very adjacent ... which makes all the difference and definitely focuses the mind.
Delightful image Mal ... richard

You should tell ole Ray the the end of time for any organism is when it ends. So, till the end of time.

Ray is a tonic to behold on this site, so don't miss-understand smile

A great picture.

Welcome back Mal, hope all is well.

Lets play... Milonair..
Was the subject...
a) enjoying the tranquility?
b) contemplating jumping?
c) reminiscing of a long lost love
d) knackered and just about to have a coronary as the shot was done via a timer and "you wouldn't believe how hard it was to clamber up on that damn rock"?

Lovely shot Mal. Much to admire

Een erg indrukwekkende foto! Fascinating the dark silhouettes of the rocks and the person against the sky- some miles nearer to heaven as I could imagine- in any case a higher point of view (of life on earth...) may be reached! I love the slightly purple toning of the clouds - a wild scene seems to play on the stage of sky! A real great pic of timeless character- and fine that you are back- I hope you are well or- at least- better!

Intriguing and thought-provoking image.
I tried a similar shot (on my blog today) with different results.
It's a classic shot that works with a good strong silhouette.
fantastic shot - wonderful silhouette

Not completely B&W, but the sparingly used colors indicate who was working here... wink

Feels like a fresh breeze, just standing there and letting your eyes and mind wander. Yes, the photo certainly works for me!
I've missed this one ! And it's a great one !
