where DO you come up with these ideas? brilliant, mal. i'm really liking the creative vantage point here, and of course, you got a kick*ss sky again. the perspective makes it looks like the hay bales aren't nearly as big as i know they really are.
This certainly doesn't look like the hay in my neighbourhood. It looks spooky. I'm not sure what is going to jump out from behind the bales.
this is a stunning one Mal, yo don't need me to tell you that smile

Now that is a really good picture of a hay bale! I have tried this myself, which only enhances my appreciation of this one.
This is the most innovative photo of hay bales I've ever seen. Bravo.
This is another faintly disturbing dream-like image: all the better for that!
Great work, Mal!

Hmmm! vonDaniken hay bails! I guess they are companions to the crop circles.
Laying on your belly to shot this one really paid off, mal.
Love the template...can't hardly wait to have a piece of that action.

I have some pics of hay bales somewhere in my files. Next time I come across them I must remember to delete them, because they come no where close to your mark.

Love the Black.

Brilliant, every component in this one is quality. I like it when you get to see something common but with a different perspectivesmile
You have such an incredibly creative streak. This is superb. It takes a simple pastoral scene and fills it with hidden meaning. Love it. (:o)

What most amazes me about this, Mal, is that it appears as though the bales are resting on top of the stalks of grain. An illusion? It's definitely a "story."

So this was your view when you woke up the morning after. And even in that state you see the opportunity. Down and not out.

Excellent picture and angle. It surely is different from the other hay bales I have seen to date.
Oh Malcolm ! What a brilliant composition... just at the top of it !!! I'm feeling like a bug !! smile
like it...youve done something different by blurring the foreground and that skews my aspect, very cool...
simply majestic and stunning, You are really rockng the IR72!!!!
Makes me think of Jack and the beanstalk and Land of the Giants - do you remember that TV programme?

Inspired Mal. Don't think I'll bother with Simon's Summer challenge now!
The low angle of view works really well. Surreal!

This is a stunner, mate. This goes straight in the likeys alongside dad's most recent. Reminds me of the camerawork at the beginning of the original B&W version of the Wizard of Oz.

Anothe great great shot Mal... Really beautiful !
Like your choice of perspective - original presentation of something many of us have access to...

I get this horror movie feeling looking at it - the BW and sky is the main reason...I think... smile

Yeh! Hay bales! and I can never find them, lol. Novel twist on a classic bale with the perspective change and long exposure - nice one.
Great shot. Proof it pays off to get down and dirty!
For sure one of my favourite perspectives.

Another distinctive viewpoint to a classic shot here, do you spend most of your photographic life on the floor?

grin
Great choice of viewpoint - nice twist on a common subject.
