Launch!
Steer dead ahead, through these terrible jaws, and on...
To the edge of the world!

Errr...if you happen to see a 7/11 along the way, can you get me a raspberry slurpee?

Sorry...got a bit carried away with my take on the metaphor of "life's journey". Indicates what a worthy post this is from you, mal.

Lovely shot, mal, really like this - the light on the sea is stunning and fills the centreground so well.
Quality.
Wow, this is amazing. Love the composition with that great expanse of sea. Something very surreal about the way the slipway just disappears. (:o)

When I take your title to the picture - yes this could have been it. Timeless.

The shot reminds me of the song by Aussie Band, Something for Kate - Captain Million Miles An Hour. I can't stop looking at the area where the water meets the ramp and hearing the crescending guitars and the words "Preparing me for takeoff". Beautiful.

Cracking shot yet again Mal. Gives the feeling that there is nobody else alive in the World. Great moody atmosphere.

I like this very much. Where was it Mal?
Another cracking image Mal.
Great shot Mal. You just want to walk on down the slipway and slide off into the water....
Ingrid
Very atmospheric. I bet anything launched down that slipway just disappears beneath the waves never to be seen again.
Are you... and the others! Cheers!

Very interesting shot. I'm curious about what the bottom of it is - and the title is great. I like how soft the water looks.

Great one, waiting for charon, just ready to go over styx smile
For me this picture emanates feelings of melancholy, not of joy and peace today as I would like.
But this is obviously subjective and, as I have already had occasion to say, a photograph that transmit sensations has centered the goal, no matter what kind of feelings that sends. Again Mal you have done an excellent job. Bravo!

A pinch more slipway and I'd have been slapping a great big 'likey' on it. Good but only a nearly...but as Brucey would say 'you're still my favourite'

This works really well, Mal.
I'm assuming the title is to do with the 7th day or somesuch, and that works really well too, though who built the ramp?

Such a simple shot is really striking. All the best smile
