I would love to be there. Beautiful image, like the lamp, means we will stay until it's dark.

Pesky hoodies...always out causiing trouble!! lol

This is a lovely shot, the graphic style really appeals to me as does the symbolism, for all that there are two peolpe in the shot it has a real feeling of solitude, for me anyway.

I think, awesome is the word I'm looking for.

This is utterly fabulous, s still from a film, the tear jerking moment that everyone remembers?

I always enjoy the titles that you give your photos. It really adds something, guides one's thoughts.

Great lightning and calmness in the photo. Almost graphical, but still "inhabitated" by humans.

Thank you, Mal, for this fascinating photo- I have no words, self in my mother tongue, to descibe this very special, so wonderful light- early in the morning or.. I don't know- I remember to have experienced once- very early- such an atmosphere while having felt to be the first person on the world who may be so happy and presented to see the first light arising after a dark-cold night- in such moments you are getting absolutely silent and humble and you are only blissful and astonished at so much beauty! Fine also the contrast of the so little (man-made-light) lantern and the ocean of natural light which is touching all 'things' and will give warmth...- Yes, I wanted to have been there despite cold and a rough wind...!
Simply stunning shot, the lighting makes this shot , thanks for this

Hi Mal,
Another great image. I always look at the end of the day when everyone else has already made comments. there's nothing much I can add that hasn't been written already.
Do you send any of your pictures to agencies or magazines?
top marks again.
Definitely off a film scene, I like the crispness too.

Mal, you must be a romanticist- s I saw today the Caspar David Friedrich exhibition in the Hermitage Amsterdam I thought of you- the thematic: natural grandeur, the same grand vision of the nature, sunlighted skies and seas, figures seen from behind, inspiring reflection...! It is not the first time that I think of that- a kind of my praise!

Beautiful Mal.

One Q - why is the hooded one carrying a lamp? I'm sure that there is somethign deep and meaningful that I mave missed. Love it though, and the way the boardwalk isn;t 100% straight, looking at the nails in the centre.

(so much for new technology, this shot only appeared on my rss feed this morning. That's rubbish (exhasperated rolling eyes smiley) )
