Robinio Ring

Sorry for not getting round to see and comment yesterday, I'm trying to get rid of a heavy work load before I go to Dublin for the marathon on Monday.

Some crazy Dude from Belgium selected this one and will be the last of the wheel images. It's probably the least dynamic of the wheel images but it is my fav! Because it shows the context of the wheel (Which might even please Simon and Nev) though I doubt it! let me know your thoughts as always, especially funny ones because I made Dan puke the other day!! Hee hee.

I'm not going to be around at all over the next few days, I fly out to Dublin on Saturday morning for the marathon which is on Monday. I hope that everyone has a great weekend.

All the best Mal

Beat 'em at the marathon smile Sweeeet shot!
Great mix of colours is the first thing that strikes me. I think it is very dynamic with the strong lead in of the walk way and the strong rectangular geometrical elements in the railings and wall combined with the circle of the wheel itself. Another great one Mal.
BAD JOKE WARNING:-
We work out too much. We waste time. A friend of mine runs marathons. He always talks about this "Runner's high". But he has to go twenty-six miles for it. That's why I smoke and drink. I get the same feeling from a flight of stairs.
Best of luck Mal
Mal: Hee hee, always love your humour Digi. Mal
Hey Mal, quick question! How do you get the shiny/glossy feel to photographs?

I think the eye is one of the most photographed images in london, and yet very rarely are they any good. You have taken some absolute smashers of it, and this is possibly the best. Fantastic work mal

Although I like this shot for it's graphic content and very clean lines, it doesn't have the wow factor that the other wheel shots had. I also find that the very bright railing competes with the wheel for attention.

I'm not trying to detract from this at all, I'm just saying that though this image is top-notch, the other two are topper (or something like that).

Have a great run Mal, hope it goes well. I've got a tribute photo up for you on Sunday or Monday so check it out when you get back.

Wow!

I'd have been more than happy if I'd managed to take the lower half of the shot, with the wheel in the top section it adds something almost ethereal.

Good luck with the marathon.

Great work, Mal.. All the different angled lines work well to make this a very interesting, dynamic photo.
This entire series has been outstanding, each image is superb. I like the interplay between cool and warm tones and straight and fluid forms in this one. Excellent!
Sorry Mal for mt late comment. Firstly this series is awesome, and I think all the images that have come with it have been really really good. This is the best of the lot, has so much about it and I could look at different parts and just stare....Thanks for posting.

Uh-may-zin! Love the composition and the lighting. The warmth of the foreground and the coolness of the wheel in the background - nice contrast. There's a lot to look at/consider... the railing shadows... the traffic. It's a busy yet serene shot. Niiiice!

I wanted to come back and say that this is one of my favourite shots of the year. Just so you know.
Mal: From you Elfi, that means a lot to me! Since joining Shutter, I have had honest criteque from you and I have learned from it to! Big time! I hope that we have time to meet in person in the new year? It would mean a lot to me! Mal

Now, bugger off and enjoy your holls!
