photoblog image After the rain has gone

After the rain has gone

After the rain has gone.

Not often that I might add text or a story to an image but I felt compelled to do so with this one.

I guess that anyone following this blog might know that I quite like the slightly "off the wall" or "weird" type of stuff. On my travells through the internet I bumped into Codrin Lupei, we have a very similar view on the world and I just wanted to share his work with you. Codrin has an amazing ability to tell a story with a single image, although he tells stories through a series of images also.

I know that time is precious but if you have 5 mins spare, make yourself a coffee and click the link below, I know that you will not be disapointed.

Mal, thanks so much for providing the link to Codrin's images. Though I have to say that one can easily spend much more than just 5 minutes.. (me at least). And each and every minute is well spent. But for now I'll make myself comfortable and look at this here for at least 5 minutes smile
Mal: Enjoy Iris. all the best. mal

Too bad Codrin dropped off our shutter, I miss him a lot. He's a visual poet. It was a real pity to see one or two comments under his wonderful photographs. Shutter is a misterious place, a mediocre picture might get accolades here, but a little gem might get unnoticed. smile So, I don't blame him for dropping off.

You said you'd write a text/story to your picture, but started blurbing about Codrin instead. smile Tell us teh story behind this photograph, Mal. smile I love it as it is, but surely will read teh story with an interest.
Mal: For me the story is a simple one Z, i'm not a poet or word smith but images that can tell a story that touch me I find interest in.

This one is about unresolved issues in life, the heavy and dark burden upon the soul of things beyond your control, emotions that I can not understand. But when the rain is gone, perhaps things will be different. I say perhaps, the figure is a distant blurry dream, someone in the future, someone I would like to be. The flower represents life today, rather pretty but oh so small. just my small summary

I like the sound of your Kingdom my friend. mal

Mal, I am so deeply touched, I don't know what to say! First of all I want to tell you that this image is another alltime favorite for me, well, I guess that it's not a surprise for you! About your words Mal, thank you so very much and you know that the feelings are mutual, I've very rarely seen images, no matter, landscapes, portraits or whatever they are so deeply charged with soul, heart and sincerity like yours and these are for me the most important ingredients for everything in this world! Thanks everybody for taking the time and I am really delighted if you'll find something you like there.
@ Viktor, I really didn't left Shutter because of the lack of the comments (you probably know how easy is to have hundreds of comments anywhere, you just have to make lots of compliments around you smile ) but because I took the decision to not participate in too many places in this virtual space, right now my homepage is the only one where I am active anymore. Thanks for your kind words Viktor, I truly appreciate this a lot!
Take good care of you everyone and have a wonderful time!
Many, many thanks Mal! Cheers!

ps my apologies for this long comment...
Mal: smile

cheers Codrin, no need for apologies.

Love this picture of yours, it too seems to tell a story. Singing in the rain springs to mind!

Another thought provoking image, that makes you want to look at it more than once. With this type of image you always want to read the comments, not just for the comments but also for your answers. Gives an insight to your thoughts when you took it.
Now I'm off to visit Mr Codrin.
Mal: Enjoy Aussie, I know you will, best to you. mal

I love these moments when the rain has gone and the nature is awakening from a kind of sleep or quietness - I can see all the flowers and the grasses filled with joy of life - moving, lifting up, shaking away the last drops of rain and dancing in the whiteness of light since the sun has broken through and touched all things - I can feel the joy of the person balancing over the abyss like a rope dancer - without any fear but be cautious -I like very much the atmosphere of this photo - there is such a feel of lightness and gentleness -as if all 'things' were possible and available! Let's hope!
I think Codrin Lupei must be your brother in spiritu or soulmate!
Mal: smile))

Indeed Philine, you have interpreted this image well with regard to my intention. It is a vision of hope/expectation - like your interpretation the future is unsure but it has a hope, a hope that the tight rope artists will reach the other side.

I'm not a man of words but I am so glad to read yours.

my very best. mal
Very nice! Light, composition, the pose of the girl in the background, tones,.. everything.
