Mal, I love this photo. It's outstanding, and going into my likeys.
Not sure what you mean by the caption but this shot is beautiful and magical.
Fantastic Mal, the slow shutterspeed works wonders. Awesome b/w.
I know that place so well.

Could also be seen as British Rail hospitality!

Why does the sea seem to have a magenta cast and the sky hints towards Green?

This looks almost like a submarine emerging from the sea, a magnificent picture.

Re the rest ... beware frying pans ... I think you'll know what I mean wink

So beautiful, Mal.
Magical. This is what the Lord of the Rings movies really should look like.

Startling, stark, surreal, beautiful image, Mal.
That place is no place at all...time to move to a real place where the colours exist, and there is springiness under the feet.

Excellent shot, Mal, great atmosphere & mono-effect. Where is this?
Mal, this is just a perfect image. The long pause well reveal the sea landscape... it gives softness.
Well done again Mal.
This is just a beautiful perfect shot.

You know how we all love it when you do these images, Mal. This is the "you" of the pre-blur days, right? Or rather, maybe we can call this the after-blur! I think I prefer that. smile

I think i have seen this coastline before, similar in excellence

All these talk about magenta, it is like she is a new model smile

Must say if there was no previous comments i would have been blissfully unaware of it. Even now I am not sure if I actually am seeing it - must have too old a monitor.
Lovely shot Mal - very mystical atmosphere.
Seeing this has made me realise how long it's been since I walked on that beach and onto Black Nab, a wonderful shot Mal, beautifully composed as always....

lovely shot as usual
Hi Mal - 43 comments, but I have to add mine too. This is an excellent use of filters - I am surprised you didn't get more movement in the clouds. Or are two exposures sanwiched together? Impressive. Mike
The mist breaking of the large rock in the distance is ominous. Creates a ghosty feel. There is a feeling of movement, like there is a dance with the sky and foreground around this central yet distant figure. Okay whatever, I do like it though.

Absolutely wonderful shot. Love the waves against the nab and the movement at the bottom. I really like the space in middle frame which allows you to immerse in the action. Hope you're nearly there
Stark and beautiful. I'm impressed with the tonal quality and the mood this image creates.

What a strange, contradictory image! It's a bit unsettling at first, but then there's great strength in the rocky shape on the horizon, and the strip of light in the distance looks like something to strive for.

This is a beautifully atmospheric picture. The softly blurred water looks great and by using B&W we get to enjoy all the tones and textures. But isn't the horizon a bit off? smile

Great landscape shot, the sense of dynamism here is outstanding, and the light on those far breaking waves just spot on!
This is a fantastic shot Mal. Out of this world. The waves appear to be brimming ever so slightly. Well captured
