Thank you to everyone that viewed and left all the fantastic comments (both public and private) on the previous image! I'm a bit blown away by them all! It is really appreciated.
The Exif data gives the game away for this one!

lovely long exp...lovely stuff mal...might i inquire as to who the person in the pic is?
That's a beauty, Mal!
WOW! So nice mal, so nice.
You can almost feel the atmosphere in this one.
Tripod, bit of chalk to put a mark on the pavement and a pair of running shoes?
Blooming good picture Mal. What time of day was this?
Tripod and walk into the frame - with Ellie on this one! Lovely image Mal.
This is another fine Mal-Esque portrait; yes, it would be cool to see some new self-portraits mate!
Mal, I know you have no interest in selling your work, but I really think you should approach some galleries (for a laugh); I'm sure curators would love to show your stuff! If you don't want to sell, then just exhibit them for a laugh! Your work would do really well, I would buy them if I had the cash to go art shopping! Love the mood you created here, very lonely, a kind of smokey back alley feel to it! A kind of Andy Warhol feel, I think? You certainly know this craft well; you have inspired me to think about developing a unique style, a signature, to my work. So, I'm going to take some time out to think about developing my own art style too. Cheers mate, you given me plenty to think about. Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, and Jodi Cobb have inspired many people, but it is Malcolm Smart who inspired me! All the best, Raymond
This has a lovely dreamy effect... lovely shot!
Beautifully done, Mal. Very lovely image.
Wow this is a great image, another amazing photo from mal.
nice shot, the sepia seems to help enchance the mood of this shot.
beautiful and mysterious. i am envious of where you live. you are so lucky to have so much rich history. i love the eery feeling this shot gives me, of walking alone along the cobble stone street. nice choice of tone too mal.
Livin the blues. The introspection elevates your photography. This ones red-lines it on the mood level scale. The light is incredible.
awesome shot Mal, love the lighting
Your sepia tone gives a nice atmosphere to this one. And the kind of mist conveys a mystery too.. where is he going, where are we ? That's a good image Mal...
Perfect as usual
Suby
Superbly worked image, Mal- Everything so well chosen from framing to toning, lighting to textures.
What's this tripod thing everyone is mentioning?
Another amazing shot Nal. Not sure how you do it, but I'm glad that you do
Fabulous - only one thing - why is the window so white?
the long exposure makes it look like early morning instead of dark night... like someone is leaving after a long night...
Great image, brilliant feeling. I'd like to congratulate for your portfolio, mainly the long exposure landscape pictures (The Itch, 100 Geeks etc.).
I am wondering how the pub crawler managed to hold his pose for 20s while the shingle is calling. Maybe it is not a pub and then i would understand a little.
malesque - seriously malesque. Translated as excellent.
Mal...this exquisitely realised image has created in me a deep sense of aloneness only equalled by what I felt a couple of times when depressed during my late adolescence. Your images astonish me!
Very very good.
Really nice, Mal.
That is some marvelous night photography, Mal!
Excellent shot Mal - very atmospheric.
Very dramatic... Great shot!
Great processing, really works.
Wow !! Genial, Mal. Esta foto es fantástica. Se respira una atmósfera de pelicula de Sherlock Holmes. !! Me gusta mucho.
Wow ! So fantastic Mal. What a light and nice sepia treatment. I do love it !
lovely tone compliments the mysterious mood
Fantastic shot Mal - You have a great eye for a good photograph, I wish I had half of your talent!
c'est vraiment une très très belle photo
I'm not sure this will make sense to many people, Mal, but if David, the Psalmist, had had a camera in his day, I'm quite certain his pics would look like yours! I think that's the highest compliment I can pay you.
Wow, 20 seconds? A frozen moment, there is no movement from this guy. Fantastic.
Hard work standing on one leg for 20 sec and make it look as though you are walking. Tried a similar setup a while back but could not get the pose to look natural. You have done well here, if you had not mentioned the EXIF I would not have noticed your strain!
Having said that I will join the throng in applauding an excellent image I am really enjoying this style of image. and your Vasaline series.
This one is easy to explain. Mal is God, so 19 seconds on a small aperture for maximum depth of field and to capture the ambient light on a dim and dismal, day and a 1 second burst of sunlight - on command, of course - to freeze the action.
Hi Mal - lovely image, great atmospherics!!
I love this picture
there is a hole in your coat
Bonsoir,
Well done effect..Nice tones..Good composition..Bravo!
I echo all the others Mal. I bet you were straining your ears, listening for the sounds of a camera being removed from the tripod and spirited away!
Moody, introspective, so richly human, Mal.
Oh Mal, how on earth do yoou do stuff like this. Just a marvelous image.
20s exposure and yet person is not blurred. Please how???
Another stunning one!
This one has a slightly scary atmosphere. It also gives me an impression of loneliness. Great work!
Nice light. It creates a very dreamy feel, in my opinion. Could be from the ending scene of a movie, too. Keep up the good work, Mal.
The excellent result of a challenging night shot. Very nice.
this is so emotive Mal.....
Great lighting Mal.
Wish I could stand that still for 20 seconds! Another belter Mal

This is a lovely shot full of narrative mal, wonderful, just wonderful...
This one is magical!
Great mood ! Wonderful.
Wow. That's just wonderful. Moody, darky, a hint of cozyness because of the pub-sign, an open road for thoughts and for an atmosphere of departure.
Lovely processing has helped you create a lovely, atmospheric image. Nice work.
excellent!
Perfect shot, Mal! I like your processing, beautiful work!
