A striking composition, mal. I like it.
I love your black and white pics, Mal. Very artistic, and classy too
Agree with Kay, Malcolm. Your B&W pictures are really amazing. This one especially, probably because of the subject. Disturbing and fascinating too.
Invasion of the body snatchers! Well, not really, but you get the idea? Creepy aren't they. Good exposure and dof.
What a shot !!!
Superb composition and great use of DOF! Another beautiful shot, Mal!
Great composition and use of dof. Goes to my likey's as an example for myself.
Thanks for sharing.
An elegant B&W image, Mal. Amazing how a even a mannequin can come to life in a properly shot photo!
What a bunch of dummies... I thought is was a good craic in Dublin? Rich, shirley and Dave look dead bored.
Lovely B&W, I have one of these shots of these manequins, maybe one day I will post it up, but for now this B&W is really really good
Suby
always amazed hw u guys come up with these striking images. very nice one mal.
Oh mummy, oh mummy blue, oh mummy
I would rather be a human than a snail, yes I would! Excellent shot. You can now change the focus to each of the heads in turn and have 2 more pictures to blog.
Very, very nice, Mal. Like this a lot.
What a sci-fi feel, Mal! They have eyes but don't see. Another little sermonette, I see.
such a good DOF! did you shoot that in a shop or do you keep heads at home ?
Nice one Mal - I think dummy's make such a good subject. This shot reminds me of a book by Hanif Kareshi called "The Body" - I bet you can guess the story line! Excellent shot.
Mike
Slightly disturbing but still an excellent image Mal. Lovely tonal range - back on track again!! David.
I like this shot; the monotone and DoF. But, I'll have to admit.. it reminds me of my teenage years when I would 'erase' the eyes from the pictures of models in fashion magazines. Gives them a really creepy look! Am I 'disturbed'? Yeah.. probably!!
Classic depth of field shot, looks good in B&W, well presented.
I recall seeing those autons in the doctor. You have done a nice job of glamourising those beasts. Don't know how long you waited for a blurry though. Great addition to the head shots were have seen.
Splendid capture, Mal. Another oblique reference to von Daniken?
Composition is superb. I don't know why, but we all seem to want to relate to mannequins. My picture on this subject is here [ http://www.all-my-world.com/pblog/images/partygirls7_19feb2007.jpg ] I also have wriiten a story about the discovery of this Sect [ http://www.all-my-world.com/pblog/index.php?m=02&y=07&d=20&entry=entry070220-044444 ], which you might find somewhat amusing.
I must say this is one of my favourites! Very simple concept but perfectly executed and I find it very spooky! Too many episodes of the Avengers and hiding behind the sofa with Doctor Who, lol!
Excellent DoF and compo. Also love the grey tonal range. Good job again, Sir Mal
I would love to see a dark room print of this rather than digital. O n the right fiber paper, man this would be even more amazing. Great shot, I just don't think digital does the range of greys justice in this sort of shot, one of the times a print would be best.
very creepy, very cool... a verse of radiohead's fake plastic trees does suit this pic...
Very lovely image Mal. I would want to be able to express to words how much appeals to this photo to me but my English does ot allow it, I am sorry :-(
cool shot Mal,
wonderful use of dof, i'm a sucker for repeating geometric shpes
Lovely shot Mal. nice work with DOF.
I love this, reminds me of Bladerunner. Great.
Oh Mal, that's terrific! Perfect use of DoF. Slightly scary, too.
Beautiful dof. Very nice post processing.
striking silence
Very nice. DOF is great. I have my hair styled like this! All the best, Dave.
Beautiful
Very nice picture! I like it in b/w and the dark mood
nicely done. youve captured the detail in the face very well.
your anti-spam sucks cheese! 3 times a charm.
Great composition ! and perfect B&W...
cool shot!
Reminds me of the "body snatcher" stories where the new human body is forming but has not yet been imbued with a soul. Very spooky, very well done.
brilliant dof
I LIKE THIS, A LOT... I have one like it, i might be posting it up sometime soon.
