The Itch

Thank you for the lovely comments yesterday, I appreciate every one of them.

Yesterdays shot was taken en route to this location near Whitby. Master asked me why I was rushing around so much? Well, the answer is simple - while on vacation I took about 80 gig of photo's which I am just starting to sort out. Some of which I am really happy with but I do miss taking shots that I am used to. While in Japan and Australia, I had forgotten to take my R72 filter, so therefore had not captured some scenes in my normal way! So yesterdays image was me rushing to scratch an itch of trying to capture the sea in my favoured style. I am weird I know!

Now that the Itch is scratched, I shall post Japan and Australia images.

Its amazing the impact a vertical shot gives as opposed to a horizontal one. All your previous shots, were all horizontal (I think?), so this one feels like its something new. Fresh. Lovely as always

Thanks goodness the IR72 is back out of the cupboard. I bet it was the first thing you went to find when you got home. I wonder why we aussies don't put sticks in water like this. With this being an election year i think i will have to raise the issue of nabs and sticks with my local member of goverment. Beautiful shot Mal and i love the two layers of cloud which are heading in different directions. Well worth the 9 minutes.

Mal: Hmmm! How do you fancy a new business venture Neal? I'll source the finest UK sticks and stumps and together we will import them to Aus and place them in strategic Aus ocean beauty spots and charge local photographers for the privalidge!!

Beautiful shot. Once again your patience amazes me- I would have done the shortcut method of a faster shutter speed so that I could avoid carrying a tripod and instead just take hand held shots at a higher ISO.

Mal: It does get a bit boring sometimes Urv, waiting and waiting and sometimes the results are not good. mal

Mal, it really makes me think of a great photograph (Mickael Kenna). The same extraordinary quality of the picture (frame, exposure, contrats) along with a peaceful and wonderful landscape. Mal, now I can tell you, you're a great photograph !

jeeze man. it looks like a soothing milky way. it is rather soothing like others have said. i enjoy the feeling that i could both sink and float above the world. did you change the colour? you seem to find these places that suit your style of photography. thanks for sharing.. its like a bit of peace online.. kinda like suzannes...
